Consultant

Accepting applications

Own the diagnosis, recommendations and leadership relationship for an assigned customer portfolio. Learn how each home-service business operates, help owners and managers make sound decisions, and turn those decisions into workflows, training and ServiceTitan changes the customer can maintain.

The job

  • You own the diagnosis, recommendations and leadership relationship for an assigned customer portfolio.
  • You work with a Business Operations Specialist who investigates requests, completes configuration and project work, tests changes and follows through with customers. You give that work direction and context, make the decisions that require consulting judgment, and review consequential changes.
  • You also investigate and configure directly when the work calls for it. Delegating execution does not remove your responsibility for the recommendation or the result.

What you will do

  • Diagnose the business problem: ask useful questions, review account history, inspect records and settings, listen to calls and compare reports with what is happening in the business.
  • Advise owners and managers: make a clear recommendation, explain the tradeoffs and respectfully challenge requests that would create a larger problem.
  • Set priorities and define the work: turn audit findings and requests into a manageable plan with clear results, responsibilities and measures of success.
  • Design workflows and oversee implementation across booking, dispatch, memberships, pricebooks, inventory, payroll, accounting, reporting and integrations.
  • Interpret performance and financial information, checking definitions, source data and configuration before drawing conclusions.
  • Train and coach CSRs, dispatchers and office leaders using examples from their actual work, and help managers build scorecards and coaching routines.
  • Own the relationship: lead meetings with a purpose, keep work moving and communicate clearly in tickets, emails and meetings.
  • Use sound judgment when the answer is unclear: verify product behavior before presenting it as fact and get approval before changes that affect money, access or operations.

Requirements

  • Substantial hands-on ServiceTitan experience beyond routine end-user work: administration, workflow design, reporting or configuration investigation, or implementation responsibility.
  • Home service operations experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drains or a related trade.
  • Evidence of independent judgment: a problem you diagnosed, the evidence you used, what you recommended and how you checked it worked.
  • Experience leading or advising other people, including difficult conversations.
  • Comfort interpreting operational reports and working in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Strong organization and follow-through across multiple customers.
  • Clear, accurate writing and speaking.
  • Coachability and professional accountability.

Helpful experience

  • Consulting or customer portfolio ownership; CSR, dispatch, office or service leadership; ServiceTitan implementations and go-lives; current ServiceTitan certifications.
  • QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop or Sage Intacct; pricebook and membership design; inventory and purchasing; Zapier or Make; training or process documentation.
  • Nobody arrives knowing every module. Continued learning and demonstrated competency are part of the role.

What success looks like

  • You lead your customer relationships independently, make well-supported recommendations and recognize when to escalate.
  • Your Operations Specialist has clear direction and can move work forward without waiting on every decision.
  • Projects produce verified changes in how the customer works, and risks are raised early.

How to apply

  • Apply with your resume and complete the requested assessments.
  • Be prepared to discuss a real operational problem you diagnosed, how ServiceTitan was involved, what you recommended and how you knew the change worked.
